section is for wholesale customers who have an
account set up with Scotsco. If you don't have
an account, but are interested in setting one
up, please see the Setting Up An Account section
of this site.

To Order
Scotsco
Wants To Be Your Distributor!!!
We will take an order any way it is convenient
for you to give it to us. We have a toll-free
watts phone line and a toll-free fax number.
Just call us and start ordering; if you have
your customer number and part numbers we will be
faster and virtually error free. You can now
place orders through our web site, scotsco.com!
Of course we will always accept an e-mail, a
letter, or a personal visit. We make it easy.

Terms
Scotsco Inc.'s terms are Net 10th with an
approved open line of credit. Past due accounts
will be given further credit review regarding
open account privileges. Accounts which are past
due 60 days will be placed on C.O.D. status
until account is current. Accounts which are 90
days past due will be placed on hold. Past due
accounts are subject to a handling charge on
each order until they are current.

Freight Policy
As a distributor, one of the valuable services
we provide you is a freight program.
- Accessory
orders of $1,000.00 or more will be prepaid.

This
program is on accessories only, and exclude gas
cans, sprayers, grass catchers, and oil. All
whole-good unit programs have their own freight
programs. Prepaid freight is not available in
Alaska, Hawaii, and east of the Rocky Mountain
states but freight allowance terms may be
available. Prepaid freight and freight allowance
will not be allowed on accounts that are past
due.
Freight Policy is subject to change without
notice.

Cash
Application
Scotsco requires open account balances to be
paid in full each month. If partial payment is
made it will first be applied to all finance
charges up to the current month. The payment
will then be applied to the oldest invoices
until the balance of the check is applied. |
Return Policy
If for some reason you need to return
merchandise to Scotsco Inc. please call first to
notify us of your intent. When you call, we will
enter each item into a Returned Goods
Authorization (RGA) in our system. We will then
fax or mail you an acknowledgment which you can
use as a packing slip. A restocking charge of
20% will be applied to all returns unless
specifically waived. Merchandise sent to us
without an RGA slip included will be returned
freight collect with a letter of explanation
regarding our return policy. The account must be
current and in good standing to receive an RGA
slip and return goods. RGA numbers are good for
30 days after which time they expire. All items
must be unused and in original manufacturers
packaging to be considered for return and
credit. Scotsco has no formal parts return
policy. If you have parts you wish to return,
you can submit a list to us in November or
December. We will review the list and if there
are any items we can accept for return we will
do so under the policy detailed above. No
obsolete or discontinued items will be eligible
for return. |
Lost, Damaged Shipments; Missing Merchandise
Please check all packages to see that no
merchandise has been left with the packing
materials.
In case of a problem with your shipment, please
use the following procedure:
- FREIGHT
DAMAGE
Please note any damage on the freight bill and
notify your carrier immediately. Please hold
merchandise and packaging materials for
inspection by the carrier, i.e. U.P.S. or
truckline.
Please understand that Scotsco will not be
responsible for freight damage caused by the
carrier.
- LOST
OR SHORT SHIPMENT
If an incomplete shipment is received, please
notify Scotsco immediately. If necessary, we
will gladly send a tracer to locate lost
packages.
Please understand that Scotsco will only be
responsible for claims received within 10 days
of shipment date.

Drop
Shipments, Bus Service, Special Handling
We will be happy to do drop shipments to your
customers; however, we have a $20.00 handling
fee, plus freight. All shipments that require
special handling delivery to the bus depot,
etc., will have a $20.00 charge added to the
order. |
Backorder Options
Backorders are possibly the most frustrating
part of our relationship. We have over 30
suppliers, and over 100,000 line items. To
combat this Scotsco carries over $6,000,000 in
inventory, and has spent thousands of dollars in
forecasting software to minimize backorders. The
fact remains though, supply problems do exist,
and periodically there will be back orders. We
have various options on how you would like us to
handle your back orders. |
Account Level Options
Option #1.
Your account can be coded so that when a back
order for you becomes shippable, the computer
will automatically hold it in the system for up
to 12 days so you can add on to the order. After
12 days the backorder will ship regardless.
Needless to say this option works best for
customers who order on a regular basis. If you
would like your account coded for this option,
please let us know.
Option #2.
You can have all of your backorders ship
regardless of size or cost of freight on the day
they become available to ship.
Option #3.
You may have all backorders automatically
canceled if the line item is not shippable.
Option #4.
You may have all orders shipped complete, which
would mean in the event of a back order, holding
any shippable items until all items were
shippable.
Order
Level Options
Option #1.
You also have some options on an order by order
basis. Once you select an account option, this
will be the default for all your orders. On any
given order if you want to stay with your
default account option, you don’t need to
request anything, the computer will take care of
it automatically.
Option #2.
If you have not selected account option #4, but
you would like a specific order shipped
complete, simply request it at the time you
place the order.
Option #3.
If you have not selected account option #3, but
you would like all back orders on a specific
order automatically canceled, simply request it
at the time of order.

Information Provided
- On
each packing list, you will see a listing of
your open orders for your review.
- If
you do add on to an order, the original
requested ship date will print for any line
item with a requested ship date prior to the
requested ship date on the order header.

Pricing
Prices are updated at date of printing and are
subject to change without notice. To insure that
your prices are always up to date, Scotsco, Inc.
includes a priced packing list and your invoice
with each shipment. Price quotations are
available by calling our sales desk on our toll
free lines, or on our web site. |
